Bucharest is also known as “Little Paris”(name earned in the 1900s for his wide and tree lined boulevards,beautiful buildings and a reputation for his high life), and it is the largest city and the capital of Romania.

Bucharest was founded on the banks of the Dambovita River, somewhere in the XIII century, by a shepherd named Bucur(his name means “joy”) and after alternated periods of development and decline became the capital of Romania in the 19th century.

We invite you to discover with as an amazing mixture of styles in Bucharest: from Curtea Veche(the Old Court) the founding site of Bucharest, where you cand find the remains of Prince Vlad Tepes(known as Vlad Dracul, or Dracula), the founder of the city;to the Metropolitan Church, who has been the centerpiece of the Romanian Orthodox faith since the 17th century, is very well known for his unique Bizantin interior and an outstanding bell-tower.Next to the church is the Patriarchal Palace, the residence of the supreme leader of the Romanian Orthodox Church, the Teoctist;and also the architecture of the communist years and the colossal 6,000 room Parliament House, the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon.

The city’s artistic life is maintain by the Opera House and the Romanian Athenaeum, a classical building  where the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra lends in international standard concerts, and very important the cost of tickets is very cheap,only a fraction of the price you would pay in other countries.
